Good, but if I can make a suggestion to try and appeal to other age demographics then young people and if you could list costs in American dollars, it would be easier to relate to.

Hi! I was wondering if instead of getting individual sim cards for each country in SE Asia, is there a Uk phone network you recommend that will allow for data usage and emergency calls (in country) instead?

  17. @HellYeahBrother89 on February 5, 2025 at 4:58 pm

Im guessing you wrote out a script for this video, correct? lots of good info here but it would be killer if you could upload a copy of that in writing so we don’t have to write everything down. Thanks for the info man! I,n planning my big trip for June 2025 – TDB

Thanks for this! Well done video. I’m am thinking of flying into Hanoi then travelling down the country, to Cambodia, to Bangkok area then that islands(or Thai islands first then Bangkok? Then up to northern Thailand. Does this sound ok? It’s a lot cheaper to fly to Hanoi then Bangkok from my airport which is why we thought we would do that

  21. @amybagshawe3914 on February 5, 2025 at 5:04 pm

do you book all the hostels in advance or do u book some as you go?

  22. @erikl.1860 on February 5, 2025 at 5:04 pm

When I travel to Thailand I usually rent I place for an entire month. If I want to go from city to city should I book All the accommodations before leaving home or book the first place and wing it from there?

  25. @makylahammer1620 on February 5, 2025 at 5:05 pm

I tried to purchase travel insurance through the link in bio but it says I’m not eligible? I’m from the US, is that probably why?

  26. @non-stop-nomad on February 5, 2025 at 5:06 pm

Good advice, but… 3 months in indonesia? With what visa? Where are you from to benefit from such a waiver?

  27. @ronnie-taylorS685 on February 5, 2025 at 5:08 pm

what a great video! another tip – I also land up saving up on unnecessary expenses like atm fees etc in south east asia – using apps like ATM Fee Saver – it helps find atms abroad with no fees or lower fees than others along with withdrawal limits etc. worth adding to your list of tricks!

  30. @jameslewis3083 on February 5, 2025 at 5:11 pm

Actually meat is the thing least likely to make you sick. Usually it is raw fruit and veg prepared in local water that makes you ill

Hi! I’ll be off to Southeast Asia soon myself, and I would love to know how you got around with sim-cards and wi-fi. I understand why it’s important, but personally I have unlimited data roaming, so would it really matter in my case? Thanks!

  35. @Dressupinstylebyjen on February 5, 2025 at 5:18 pm

    Nice knowledge bro🎉

  38. @enricobrown7478 on February 5, 2025 at 5:23 pm

Do you book accomodation in advance? Or just wing it?

  39. @Dannyborchi on February 5, 2025 at 5:27 pm

Never drink opened bottles or poured drinks when travelling. Always ask rather for unopened and sealed cans and new bottles. Better yet, try to avoid alcohol consumption. Opened bottle and opened can poisoning is a killer.

I live in Asia, it’s great to hear how the foreigners think of travelling to Asia, how they make the best use of the surviving skill to mingle around the areas.

I’m thinking of flying into Hanoi around November with a folding bike and cycling around into Laos and Thailand for around 3 months or so. Planning on bringing some light camping gear to have the option to camp when I want to save a few bucks and have a little adventure in the countryside.
