Blisters are created through "skin shear" where the outer layer of skin moves relative to the lower layers because it is fixed through friction to the sole of the shoe or the heel whilst the rest of the foot is moving back and forward laterally or vertically. Blisters happen below the surface of the skin not on the surface! Armaskin is "sticky" on the inside and very slippery on the outside which transfers this skin shearing potential to the outside of the Armaskin sock liner and the inside of the sock you put over it. In effect, your whole foot including the outer layer of skin slides around rather than just the subcutaneous skin layers and bones in your feet. Presto! No skin shear and therefore no blister.
There’s a mistake. Please note I meant to say a non cotton sock should be used as a regular under sock.
Thanks for a really informative video! Haven’t heard anyone mention the tip to toughen the feet by walking around barefoot.
