Nature is amazing but wildlife can be scary at times, especially if you bump into a bear on the trail. There are some very basic tips and tricks that every hiker should know before venturing out on the trail alone. Here are the basics to make your trip safer and keep you from becoming a snack. Don’t worry, the basics are just that, basic. Everyone should have the opportunity to have a great adventure and enjoy a worry free walk in the woods. Thankfully we don’t have any dangerous snakes around here, but I’ve been known to scream at a garter snake! 😁 We seem to have more bears coming in closer to communities here in Manitoba, but so far we haven’t come across any while out walking, but we don’t do a lot of hiking through the bush. Our son, however, hunts and he’s had a couple of close encounters! Nice scenery there by the way! ☕️🇨🇦☕️
