My gear? OM-1 Mark II 300mm f/4 + MC-14. Why? What he said, plus 50fps with AF and AE. It is a really fast camera.

What location is this? NY? NJ?

not clear who this video is intended for. on the one hand, the guy (who is that guy anyway?) offers very ‘bird photography’ introductory information, and then on the other hand shows how he travels with all his gear, which is lots of gear, and seems oriented for more advanced bird photographers. i would imagine each aspect of the video scares off those interested in the other.

I like my 70/200 f2 for my Canon R and R6mk2. Sometimes use the 2x extender and still get good pics. Like the 30mp of the R like the 32mp of my old M6 mk2

OM system 100-400mm is a very budget friendly and very capable lens.

Love that this didn’t become a Sony fanboy vid, and you talked up the OM, now I really wanna make it 3rd cam

The presentation is so sweet it’s sickening. This is an advertisement for all OM System lenses. If someone has 150-400, they don’t worry about others. This is the truth.

Unexpectedly a lot of fun, as a Canon event and classroom shooter. The hummingbird video clip is stunning, and the OM System camera and photos are beautiful. On my wish list: a B&H event and general indoor photography guide (without flash) of the same caliber. Loved this.

I’ve tried to love the OM System, but I keep coming back to my Sony cameras and lenses. My longest combo is the A7RV with the 200-600mm G lens. I also have the 1.4x and 2x teleconverters, but rarely use them. I have a few tripods, but my Gitzo G1325 is my daily driver with a large RRS ballhead. I have a gimbal head, but rarely use it. I used a gimbal more when I had the Canon 300mm and 600mm lenses. The only lens I would like to have now is the 300mm GM, but at 6K I would rather use the money to travel.

The tripod and gumbo head yes

Can’t speak highly enough of the Penguin case. I’ve traveled with mine through the US and Africa for years. Incredibly durable, protective and fits in an overhead. On some small commuter planes in some of the more distant parts of Africa, I’ve had to stow it in cargo. But it took all that the 3rd world baggage handlers could offer. Two Nikon bodies and several telephotos and other lens. It’s just great.

Come on b&h release it already 😅. Can’t wait guys

I have 2x OM1.1 and lots of lenese for landscape, wildlife and portrait. These are for wildlife Olympus 40-150mm F2.8, Penelica 200mm F2.8, Olympus 300mm F4 and the two TCs (MC14 and MC20). Really tempted to get 150-400mm F4.5 with the latest 10% discount. But my back issues are what giving me pause since it initial release. I had a chance to handle one and knew I would have issue handling it and hiking with it for extended period; something I love to do on regular basis.

Any Nikon love here? My 300 2.8 with a 2x converter is my pride and joy.
