    Excellent video!!

  2. @turdferguson3475 on February 5, 2025 at 4:31 pm

Caffeine pills instead of coffee. Protein bars instead of hot meals (no stove or cookware needed).

  3. @nessavee2205 on February 5, 2025 at 4:32 pm

Love this pack, but it’s seriously lacking in first aid. Get yourself a good first aid kit including splints for sprained ancles and/or broken bones. The added weight is worth it. Better to have and not need…you get the point.
Edit: you did mention a small kit for blisters and such but, that is so not enough.

Beginnerโ€™s rule #1, donโ€™t backpack alone if youโ€™re going more than two miles from your car. Solo hikers come to a bad end about 50x more than groups/teams. No redundancy, no backupโ€ฆ.

  5. @shady_manox on February 5, 2025 at 4:33 pm

Wow, so much flashy plastic garbage!

  6. @crochetlovemelbourne on February 5, 2025 at 4:35 pm

If you’re going to print a map and take a cheap compass, please stay at home because both are useless

  14. @christinaqueeno3874 on February 5, 2025 at 4:44 pm

The travel bidet is brilliant! I use a bidet at home and it is the thing I miss most when I’m out adventuring.

A brand i recommend looking into is Stroup Knifes. After getting one a few years ago its all I use.

  21. @KiwiDragn on February 5, 2025 at 4:55 pm

Thanks so much for the video! I didn’t know they make a portable bidet and that sounds like a lifesaver.

  22. @kompa6627 on February 5, 2025 at 4:57 pm

Bro wtf this is not for beginner ahahah

  23. @Blaze0205x on February 5, 2025 at 4:58 pm

I’m just gonna bring some wet wipes instead of the bidet I think

  24. @niginiwtv3931 on February 5, 2025 at 4:59 pm

Thank you for the video! However, with the high prices of the products you used, I doubt I’ll be able to start hacking. I want to emphasize the words "beginner" and "first adventure." These tools seem more suited for professionals rather than beginners.

  25. @JJB_320 on February 5, 2025 at 5:00 pm

All my back packing gear was acquired in the late 1990โ€™s, you picked up that nemo tent in your hand and blew my mind. I Might need to retire my 7lb north face lenticular tent.

  26. @justemusicme on February 5, 2025 at 5:00 pm

Lol rich people make me laughโ€ฆ.but I am poor, sooo.

  27. @jackerikson3139 on February 5, 2025 at 5:02 pm

This whole video is just the most wild flex of over priced gear ๐Ÿ˜‚

  28. @Queenwithin on February 5, 2025 at 5:03 pm

    Cool

  29. @LilyArlington on February 5, 2025 at 5:03 pm

My respect for you went up 10x after the poop situation. Thanks for the tips

  30. @_chimera_ on February 5, 2025 at 5:04 pm

Oh no ,nothing is crazy about this gear aside from nemo tags…๐Ÿ˜‚every student can afford that. Have you no shame? This guy literally goes through top price tag items which is ok, especially if they gave it to you to advertise for free, but quit acting like thats remotely affordable for a "beginner" *unsub*

  31. @mysteriousboi1019 on February 5, 2025 at 5:05 pm

That’s a really helpful video for beginners

  32. @Widlomaa on February 5, 2025 at 5:06 pm

This is SUCH good video!! Thank you so much!!

  33. @zembalu on February 5, 2025 at 5:09 pm

How on earth should all this weigh just 15 pounds?

  34. @stickmanbrains on February 5, 2025 at 5:09 pm

That little portable pump looks super handy

  35. @Berry-gp2co on February 5, 2025 at 5:10 pm

Love the bidet thingy. But no small shovel??

  36. @badrulrashid8138 on February 5, 2025 at 5:10 pm

Just buy a tent and go camping.

  37. @toni2900 on February 5, 2025 at 5:11 pm

Culo cleaner had me rolling ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  38. @valthe1stgaming634 on February 5, 2025 at 5:11 pm

Kinda feel like this is a kit for someone with absolutely 0 experience outdoors…

  39. @EmberMirage on February 5, 2025 at 5:17 pm

I also always bring a couple Ziploc bags for trash to pack out and a kitchen garbage bag that I can put over my pack in the event of sudden rain.

  40. @anandarochisha on February 5, 2025 at 5:17 pm

Florida camping..it was -40 last week here..the toilet tissue version of fabrics and tiny heat sources would work good..in my partially heated garage.

  41. @112101440 on February 5, 2025 at 5:18 pm

Cool to see a outdoor content creator from the greatest place to go outdoors.

  42. @barbrooo8022 on February 5, 2025 at 5:18 pm

34 liter backpack for a beginner?! You have miss understood the assignment. My day to day backpack is 30 litersโ€ฆ

  43. @Higher_human1 on February 5, 2025 at 5:19 pm

Toilet paper over wipes is crazy

  44. @vagabondwildernesswanderings on February 5, 2025 at 5:19 pm

Did I miss the rain gear? Mid layers? Puffy? Weather in Idaho is definitely not guaranteed to be warm and dry.

  45. @WilliamRhoads-k1v on February 5, 2025 at 5:19 pm

Who the hell is going to get a $400 dollar Nemo hornet tent for all you beginners out there just get a feather stone granite 2p itโ€™s $120 and itโ€™s as good as the Nemo and itโ€™s one forth the price, also do not!!!! Get the beady plz. Ps go to a different Miranda goes outside she has some great advice.

  46. @bangonthedoortwice on February 5, 2025 at 5:20 pm

starting to think these channels are just about advertising products

  47. @osi92til on February 5, 2025 at 5:21 pm

I’ve been struggling to save space with my gear and confused how everyone does it. Your tent bag is like a quarter the size of mine!

  48. @kremmidis_773 on February 5, 2025 at 5:24 pm

This is definitely not a beginner’s guide and most of these items are not essentials. That setup costs so much money, why would a beginner spend this much money when he doesn’t even know if he will continue hiking long term? There is no reason to make beginner’s believe that the barrier to entry to hiking is several hundreds dollars. If you are a beginner go buy some cheap Walmart camping gear and just GO hike, to see if you enjoy it before spending thousands for a setup like this. Yes cheap gear is worse but you can still hike with it, the tittle says essentials but what is essential about a 600$ tent? essentials means necessary. You missed the mark with this video I feel like it’s more of a setup showcase which is fine but the tittle is misleading in that case.

  49. @kevywilliams3304 on February 5, 2025 at 5:27 pm

A bunch of city boy gadgets and no extra socks or bandages โ€ฆโ€ฆ.

  50. @PartyCrewCoolPAD on February 5, 2025 at 5:28 pm

Anywhere you want to go is when I go purchase the plane ticket
