From backcountry ski tours to mountaineering in some of the most brutal weather on Earth, a 4-season tent is the last line of defense between you and the elements. Accordingly, these tents are much stronger than their 3-season counterparts with less mesh, more substantial canopies and rainflies, tougher pole structures, and a whole host of features designed for winter use. To get the most of cold weather camping, whether, with your family or circle of friends, we’ve compiled the excellent selection of tents to make outdoor fun and memorable experience.
This 4-season tent review is designed to help you find the best option for your ambitions, whether it brings you to tops of high summits or through the single-track of the hottest deserts. We’ve done all the hard work, sifting through the best options on the market. With meticulous attention to detail, we evaluate differences and uses for each option, highlighting our top recommendations to help you find exactly what you need.
Whether it is a night or two enduring the storms of high-altitude mountaineering, or a week of wilderness living deep in the backcountry, this selection of some of the best cold weather tents will have you covered.

Had to check the SHOW MORE above to make sure I heard the name correctly on the first one in the video. It sounded suspiciously like a well-known anime character! LOL

  3. @MrGiXxEr on February 5, 2025 at 4:36 pm

None of these are 4 season tents lol

Will someone please explain why it’s called guy out? That just sounds so stupid to me?

PF-Bereg are very good 4 season tents made in Russia, so you don’t hear that much about them. True 2-layer, 4 season tents, and you can Hot tent with them as well.

Thank you sharing this video of 4 season tent! 💯

I’ll stick with my Kifaru Tut floorless tipi for all season hiking and camping. Unlike anything shown here, the Tut has a stovejack that allows you to use a titanium wood stove for cooking and staying warm.

  9. @Slimhaven1 on February 5, 2025 at 4:46 pm

Why dont you show tents that are actually available!

Should’ve viewed before hitting Shenodoah NPS this weekend w/ Syndrome this weekend. Never never using again below 50 degrees! Open to tent w/ stove. (Please redirect to a review) Très bon champ de mouvement ’21…Be cool & be safe!

These tents seem badass for badass camping on mountains. But, I’ve camped outside of a tent on a -10 degree night, and it was great aside from waking up in the morning buried in snow😂 I have to find one of these 4 seasons with the option to just go full mesh mode on those few cold, low altitude nights that are just fun to stargaze on with a badass sleeping bag👍✌️ I’m sure the snow will melt or something, and I’ll wake up soaked.. but hey, I’m new to all this winter camping stuff, so figuring it out is half the fun👍😂🐝 Edit- do they make 4 season triple wall tents? With a mesh wall for the morons like me?

  15. @fjordbear3050 on February 5, 2025 at 4:57 pm

Any insight on condensation build-up with these tents? I dont have any experience with winter alpine camping, but from what ive read these tents build up condensation easly, but a little condensation is hard to avoid🤔thoughts?

Hilleberg and Black Diamond makes the best 4 season tents. I also like North Face all season models for mountaineering.

    What’s wrong with heliport tents?

  23. @NothingMaster on February 5, 2025 at 5:08 pm

    But are they bear proof?

  24. @conedprepper on February 5, 2025 at 5:11 pm

How come they don’t make tents in camo! Not everyone want Brite colors.

  25. @phillipjacobson4457 on February 5, 2025 at 5:12 pm

Please please please! Make versions of these tents in green sand or camo materials
    No bright colors!
    then I will buy one!
    That’s why I may purchase a snugpak cave 4 or scorpion 3
Some folks may even want black white gray snow camo. Just an ideaa.

The second guy sounds like a fourth grader that forgot his own presentation and is now half-ass stuck with trying to low-key read it off 😂

  27. @donnieluke2751 on February 5, 2025 at 5:16 pm

Anyone know anything about the Hodlex tent? Probably a three season tent though.

  28. @andrewlinesjah4538 on February 5, 2025 at 5:17 pm

    YOU CAN’T BEAT HILLEBERG ! ! !

There are many now successfully competing with Hilleberg ,
But for security , and peace of mind ,

Most Especially in a FOUR SEASON TENT ,

    HILLEBERG STANDS ALONE .

The HMG dyneema ultamid . A pyramid tent has a lot going for it… easy to set up, very good in winds. 530g weight…

  34. @Sneaky-Sneaky on February 5, 2025 at 5:27 pm

Funny the most poplar mountaineering as shown in Everest exp. etc. is the north face ve-25. Yet it’s not in your top 5. 🤣🤣🤣
