I used my 30€ Amazon Tripod (Alpha 2800) for over 2 years now, for filmmaking and it really gets the job done, I had no problemes with it so far. You don’t need an expensive Tripod.
Honestly so curious how these are all unique enough to justify their place on the market and the price point they are charging for them, so I would love a comparison video. The job of a tripod seems simple and like most of those should do that job easily. I got a $20 National Geographic branded one off Amazon with a ball head/levels/hook for hanging you camera bag and it works perfectly fine.

Done to test some gear, personnelly love lock off clips had some issues with twist to locks. But looks like a solid build. Next I would love to hear about your top 5 tripod heads or even a quick explanation of the types out there!
i would genuinely love a “photographer tries hardcore video setups” bc if heavy is a con on THAT tripod, you would hate to see some of the video tripods we gotta deal with LOL
Looking forward to it. I love my SLIK AMT but needed to upgrade to a ball head and still more impressed with some $700+ CF models that are just rock solid. Weight is no a problem for my use (product shoots) where when stacking, I want it as solid as possible with a heavy lens.
Been looking into getting a new tripod. Been using my dad’s old tripod he got back in 1984. I’ve been using it for 10 years and to be honest it’s nothing wrong with it. It’s sturdy as hell but it’s too heavy for my back to handle these days 😂
Buy right buy once. If it cost 1k then so bit it will last a lifetime and probably has lifetime warranty and made to last. Tripods are like glass they are an investment.

I bought a used Manfrotto 055xproB with a 3 way head for about 100 usd or so and it’s completely overkill for my level but it’s fantastic
😮 if I bought a tripod it cost $1,000 I expect it to adjust my camera settings and take the picture for me

They are always to short. Need eye level at least while standing and a lot of them max out at 150cm 😢

I do photography as a hobby so my tripod is actually my Milwaukee 75$ laser level tripod lol 😅. It works pretty well with my Sony camera
I loved my mephoto tripod but since IS came out in both lenses and camera bodies I rarely use them even with my 800 lens. Group photos is about it.
