Great info! Not a fan of any stove where you need to balance everything on top of your canister. Been using an Express Spider instead, way more options at a decent price and it’s been faultless for the last +15years.

I had something like this in another hobby that I had bought twice that is useless

  3. @wextr01 on February 5, 2025 at 4:32 pm

well, instead of gas stove i decided to use alcohol stove wich uses solid alcohol tablets ( esbit )

  4. @abrakadabra5134 on February 5, 2025 at 4:32 pm

That looks nothing like my jetboils, really weird. Wondering if there is are american and european models.

The coldest night I have ever spent, by far, was on a new Klymit Insulated Static V that I bought in the mistaken belief that its advertised R-value was real. This pad isn’t just a disgusting scam. It’s truly dangerous. I had to abort a planned multi-day trip, hike back out, and sleep in my car instead. Klymit doesn’t care whether you live or die, let alone whether you’re comfortable. Shameful.

1:06 If you’re choosing a pack based on how it looks you’re probably going to be disappointed in how it carries.

  7. @kevinroberts781 on February 5, 2025 at 4:35 pm

Amazon has some amazing cook sets for $15. Burner, 2 pots, spork, towel, and room for fuel. Packs in to one small unit. Can’t beat it for $10-20 bucks. And they work as intended.

  8. @buschlattes7066 on February 5, 2025 at 4:36 pm

Lol your funny , not everyone gets their gear for free to review.

  9. @theolurican3700 on February 5, 2025 at 4:36 pm

Theres nothing wrong with static v insulated. 7 years of hiking with it and It still holds air/blocks the wind/keeps you from touching the ground. I had other mats that all ended up in the garbage but the static and the foam cell surplus mat have never failed on me. This content creator seems biased.

Just like any other video all expensive stuff haha

  11. @VintageClips-rf7kt on February 5, 2025 at 4:40 pm

The jetboil is ridiculously overpriced. Heating food isn’t complicated and there are a thousand options.

  12. @JoeCaldwell on February 5, 2025 at 4:42 pm

my new BA prospector has been sitting in my closet for a few months waiting to get used end of this month… here’s hoping i have a better experience ! cheers

  13. @demoncorejunior on February 5, 2025 at 4:44 pm

i love my jetboil, i use it in the backcountry and hotels during travel. i do think it’s fairly expensive for what you get, and it’s definitely possible to cook with lighter gear. i like that everything is designed to work together, i have the french press model and i make a lot of coffee with it.

Hey Folks, which stove/heater would you recommend for wild camping?

  19. @Vlachynahasbeenhacked on February 5, 2025 at 4:56 pm

Už máte připravený nějaký starý báby, aby ki v lese obtěžovaly zivot? Jinak to nejdu kempovat… bez toho bych si připadal uplne osamělej…

  20. @syberphish on February 5, 2025 at 4:58 pm

Klymit makes the WORST equipment, will never buy that junk again.
Jetboil however… is amazing. I’ve even tried the BRS stove w/ toaks pot and its light but it’s annoying to center and it’s a very fragile setup. The Jetboil hooks together, has the piezo starter built-in and has been bomb proof. Haven’t touched my Whisperlites in 15 years since switching.

  21. @crstarkey on February 5, 2025 at 4:59 pm

I paired a WonderLIx with a Nemo pad on the cheap and it’s super comfy. I use a North Face Storm 2. GREAT tent, a bit heavy. My Atmos 65 is fine, but the hip belt is a spring loaded PITA; need to change. I use a BRS 3000 and a Toaks; works fine.

  22. @buschlattes7066 on February 5, 2025 at 5:00 pm

You loved the helinox but ypur dumb and burned it so now it’s not good? Lololololl

  23. @peacecourageknowledg on February 5, 2025 at 5:02 pm

Best gear I’ve found and set on are not the most expensive. I have the Klymit Static V Inuslated pad and have used it down to -32 C and was toasty warm, not sure if it’s because of my other gear but I love the Static V.

  24. @TheOutDoorMan101 on February 5, 2025 at 5:03 pm

    Nice Video … 👌👌👍👍👌👌

  25. @gooberpeas7926 on February 5, 2025 at 5:03 pm

Unsubscribed due to unreliable reviews. JetBoil as "gear to avoid" is BS (read others’ comments), and other "opinions" that feel capricious to me.

  26. @usptact on February 5, 2025 at 5:04 pm

Been using Jetboil many many times. Didn’t have any issues using it in various conditions.

  27. @shmehfleh3115 on February 5, 2025 at 5:04 pm

Different strokes of course, but I like my Jetboil. I’ve had it for about 10 years now, and it’s held up well. It’s not a great general-purpose stove, but it boils water quickly and reliably. The igniter is built in, unlike the MSR, and it still works.

  28. @jamesmerritt4032 on February 5, 2025 at 5:06 pm

Try the Joey chair it came out in 1984. Helinox copied Joey’s design. As well the Joey is cheaper

  29. @UchihaGremory on February 5, 2025 at 5:07 pm

I love my Kifaru pack for camping / hunting / military use

good example for how sponsorship relationships should work!

  32. @theeverydaybowhunter on February 5, 2025 at 5:12 pm

I have the MSR Windburner. It is a great stove.

  33. @didaloca on February 5, 2025 at 5:14 pm

I’m too fat for the Helinox chair. :<

  34. @Liam1694u on February 5, 2025 at 5:14 pm

The problem for the Jetboil is inflationary clout. I still have the original, from when it first came on the market. It only cost me like $60. Now all the gear Makers are artificially inflating their prices to increase the prestige of their products. "Well it must be good if it costs $200"

I can’t believe there is a single tent on the market that’s should cost more than $300. That price should get you the best tent in the world. But no. Now that’s a budget tent 😮

  35. @achubxx8487 on February 5, 2025 at 5:15 pm

bro why you tell us to avoid some products if you recommend a yellow or red tent? why not camouflage?

  36. @dylanmach8242 on February 5, 2025 at 5:16 pm

IDK about ya’ll but I’m not taking my gear advice from someone sponsored by Dicks Sporting Goods XD (For those of you unaware Moosejaw was acquired by Dicks and imo both companies are the Walmart/Great Value brands of the outdoor industry, not to mention they axed rewards programs laid off countless employees, and closed all but 2-3 physical locations of stores)

  37. @patgiblinsongs5 on February 5, 2025 at 5:17 pm

    Love the Pocket Rocket stove.

  38. @Itsbigbear1987 on February 5, 2025 at 5:18 pm

We have a jetboil and the windburner as well, we live in wyoming where its windy literally everywhere. After several years of using both, the wind burner is by far and away the better option, especially if its actually windy. Obviously in area where wind isnt a factor the jetboil works just fine. Its an older model so maybe thats why they dont feel as cheap. The brand new ones definitely dont feel as solid.

  39. @truthrevealved on February 5, 2025 at 5:18 pm

ive never seen a video with such a ratio of info to time. i am impressed

  40. @alexoja2918 on February 5, 2025 at 5:19 pm

    This is all crap

  41. @cerberus3393 on February 5, 2025 at 5:20 pm

Haha, when I’ve bought my msr pocket rocket stove the one you mention didnt existed. But i’ve seen a video where two british guys made a competition, which stove boils water faster… Im happy i’ve never wasted my money on any jetboils. My friend bought, after asked me, and no, he never uses. Thanks for this video just seeking a lightweight tent on msr site, but im about to close that tab 😀

  42. @OscarMikePrecision on February 5, 2025 at 5:20 pm

thats a silly reason to not like a tent, i’ve got the freelite 2 and its been great so far. just tap it to make the water run off before you open it

  43. @LeaveMyFreedomBe on February 5, 2025 at 5:22 pm

I would avoid a lot of the expensive gear that is pushed on Youtube. It’s really hard to get unbiased reviews.

  44. @shadowdance4666 on February 5, 2025 at 5:22 pm

I avoid MSR products because they went downhill when they were sold in 2001

  45. @carlosoruna7174 on February 5, 2025 at 5:23 pm

Primus multi fuel stove, Northface ve25, overstuffed north face blue kazzooo, damm most of my gear is over 20 years old .still works and beats most of the new junk out there

  48. @CanadianTexaninLiguria on February 5, 2025 at 5:26 pm

Don’t buy a pack from a tent company. Don’t buy a tent that’s NOT freestanding. Buy brand name pads – Thermarest or Exped. Don’t buy a stove that doesn’t fit in your pocket.

  49. @dumptrump3788 on February 5, 2025 at 5:27 pm

2:33 I also can’t agree with the review of JetBoil, especially the claim about a $100-$200 price. My JetBoil is well made, at least as good as competitors & only cost $75, very similar to the MSR……so I don’t get the point here.

  50. @johndee68 on February 5, 2025 at 5:30 pm

Apparently Jetboil is made by the same company, Johnson Outdoor, which also and recently in 2023 closed down the Eureka outdoor tents business. Personally, I wouldn’t be buying a jet boil, as I feel they are overpriced.
