Today I added a solar street light to my back yard from the company Deepn. This is a super bright light and very easy to install.

Does the light last all night? How many hours can it stay lit on the highest and then the lowest setting? Also, consecutive days/nights does it stay lit whole night?

  2. @Datguuy on February 5, 2025 at 4:40 pm

    Awesome

At what height from the ground did you mount the solar light?"

For those that are worried about neighbors you can set most of these to motion detection then lights. I live in the country and set mine to motion detection. That way it stays charged even through cloudy rainy weather. I got mine to light up my yard so even if the power goes out i have a lit yard to get to my storm cellar. Amazingly the solar panels have survived the hail storms even.

    Is this off Temu?

  11. @bowandarrowindian3704 on February 5, 2025 at 4:49 pm

I bought one and it does not last 8 hours? It will. Last 4 a 1/2 hours at the most. Not that good of a light.

  12. @jennyanimal9046 on February 5, 2025 at 4:49 pm

Next project a new fence. Cuz that’s one isn’t going to last much longer. Looks like mine๐Ÿ˜‚

  13. @envisionCamusa on February 5, 2025 at 4:52 pm

That skinny arse 4×4 with that giant light wouldn’t last one hurricane down here in Florida.
Nice light if you hate your neighbors. Pair that light and some giant pipe wind chimes and a barking dog or rooster and you can sit and wait for the "for sale" to be put up.

Great work, Sir. Much repsect. I especially liked your wood working solution when the bracket was too wide for the 4×4.

  20. @503gv2 on February 5, 2025 at 4:59 pm

Where did you get the wood pole?

Bought two of these for my church more than a year ago. One is still good. The other fell down during a storm…the solar panel was shattered.
One is attached to an old flag pole about 12-15′ up and the one that fell was attached to a metal building.
So much easier than running electrical and they did/do a fantastic job of illuminating the parking lot.

  25. @MrGp3po on February 5, 2025 at 5:03 pm

More irritating light pollution and neighbor light intrusion. This damn things need to be directed downward and have a shroud, rather that pollute the neighborhood.

  26. @lacboiatl on February 5, 2025 at 5:08 pm

Now that I’m look at it and seen the light mounts……… you could’ve turned the base the other way and just turned the light on the pole piece. But yes sir that looks bright. I’m on temu now trying to decide if I really want it

  27. @jbailey2148 on February 5, 2025 at 5:08 pm

How are they doing a year later?

  35. @Takingnoshite on February 5, 2025 at 5:18 pm

A year on, howโ€™s it holding up? Are the batteries accessible to replace?

  36. @RadRan1969 on February 5, 2025 at 5:18 pm

Both mine failed. The brackets were too weak for the weight a year later.

  37. @reyleo305 on February 5, 2025 at 5:19 pm

What’s the lumen on the tight?

  38. @MrsJuanita067 on February 5, 2025 at 5:20 pm

  39. @busterhyman6633 on February 5, 2025 at 5:20 pm

If you had moved it 5 4×4’s to the left it would not impede on your neighbors porch.

    2 questions:

1- After one year, is it still working (Something you don’t expect from Chinese products) and what are your opinions of it in the long run (Are batteries holding as new and charging ever goes zero or not holding right?)

2- Are you legally allowed to use a neighbor’s fence for your own use? And did you get their permission (Courtesy) to put the light next to their windows?

    Thanks

  49. @MrJayroach101 on February 5, 2025 at 5:30 pm
