Today I’m excited to announce the next round of my travel photography workshops. We’re heading to Iceland for the first time, and back to Peru once again. It’s going to be incredible.
These travel photography tours are a lot of fun and the workshop aspect makes them extremely valuable as well. We believe that it’s a great way to gain some photography skills really quickly in an environment that will also give you an incredible travel experience.
The first of these trips is a travel photography tour in Peru that will start on June 3rd, 2017. That’s a 14 workshop that will cover Lima, Huacachina, Nazca, Arequipa, Lake Titicaca, the Colca Canyon, Cusco, and, of course, Machu Picchu.
The second is a Iceland photo tour which is an 8 day trip covering all the highlights of Iceland. The country is one of the best in the world for landscape and nature photography, and we’re going to shoot a lot of images in the country. It should be amazing!
As always, I’ll be working alongside the talented Jeff Bartlett for these workshops.
Icelandic air has a really nice amenity. Say you are flying from the USA or Canada to somewhere in Europe. If you book that trip with Icelandic Air and ask them for a stay-over in Iceland (I think up to 30 days), they do not charge any extra for that 3rd leg since they are going to stop there anyway. Add a few extra days to hang out in Reykavik to your trip, that is a really nice town for both daytime and night-life. Max of 9 with a single occupancy fee, sounds like it might be difficult to fill, you might want to try to make it a max of 10 if 9 isn’t hit.
Thats sounds pretty amazing! We loved Iceland so much! we are just back a few weeks ago it was an amazing adventure. Im not sure if we are around this area in October but we would love to do Iceland again and with a pro! We caught the northern lights but they weren’t very strong. Our pictures were ok, would love to catch more and learn how to do it better!. Heres one of our little videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34YRUO8NDnU&t=1s ill need to check with the wife lol
Pleas go to Norway! Not that Long away from Norway!!!
I’ve been to Iceland a few times and it really is a dream to photograph, the landscape is unique and epic. It’s become noticeably busier in the last couple of years and some of the freedoms travellers have enjoyed at sites in the past are being eroded by thoughtless hordes ignoring warnings and rope lines. The govt was creating a new law to save tourists from themselves and put up more protections at popular sites last I heard. The further away you get from the main area for day tripping coaches from Reykjavik the more wild and free Iceland feels. I got stuck in a white-out blizzard on an east fjord pass in May. The snow built up so deeply on the road that my 4×4 just grounded out. It’s one of the great places for adventure, especially if you’re getting away from the popular spots. Plus puffins. Puffins rock.
I live in iceland
Hmmm… That Iceland trip sure sounds tempting. Was there last summer and it is an amazing little island.
