Perfect for day to day use in town when it’s wetter then an otters pocket, through to outdoor use in the Peak and some mountainous wanders, when conditions are too full on. Though it looks like it would probably deal with more than you’d expect!
I love my ME down jacket so this would be a great accompaniment ! I would wear it to finish off my winter wainwright challenge as a local Lake District dweller!
It would get used on my weekend walks find new local hike trails and beauty spots to be used on every adventure we take the scouts on. A good waterproof is a must for camp especially when its time to either pitch up or strike down as the weather is normally relentless.
Would love to take it on a tour of some bothys in the Cairngorms, throwing in a winter ridge or two
I’d enjoy wearing it on my family walks around the High Peak. Looks perfect for a spot of rain!
What size u wearing
Just entered a ‘wet t-shirt contest’ unintentionally last November while exploring the lakes, all thanks to my ‘not-so-waterproof’ jacket. Apparently, it’s more of a sieve than a shield! Desperately in need of an upgrade here – hoping to win this rain jacket so I can actually enjoy the rain, not become an impromptu sponge! 😄
Love this. Taking it straight to Skye to keep me dry 😊
Absolutely using this working in the Scottish Hills this winter
Nice walks in North Wales!
I’d weared my jacket over the Christmas holidays walking in the beautiful Peak District. I love walking around Hathersage and coming into the shop for a well en coffee . I never walk out of the shop enter handed lol
I’d wear it when I was manning checkpoints/chasing the kids around on the next crazy adventure (this years was the Hope Valley Round to raise money for Edale Mountain Rescue!)
I’d wear this all the time living in rainy Wales! I’d also take it travelling in Europe this year 🤞🤞🤞😁
I’d wear it EVERYWHERE! But…especially in the peaks and fells…perfect for those chilly, wet days on the hills with the dogs 🐕 ⛰️ 🥾 🧗 xx
would put it to the test in the winter conditions of Serra da Estrela 🏔
I would have worn it in the washout that was yesterday !
Would Definitely go to makalu base camp with this jacket
For some Scottish winter fun! 🤩
Love mountain equipment gear. I would use around north wales and the Peak District 😊
Dartmoor
I have a green one but would love one in another colour, they are fantastic, completely waterproof and lightweight. I wear mine everytime its pouring with rain whether on a long walk or down the shops!
Just purchased one of these. Can’t wait to take it to Scotland and Wales to try it out!
my knob weighs more than the jacket so i dont get why people would talk weights in gore-tex, no gore-tex jacket is a weight that should be even considered heavy. go to the gym and build some muscle if you feel the weight of a jacket haha.
Gravel biking and hiking in West Wales
I’d wear this to keep me dry while working around the Peak District!!
If I had the Mountain Equipment Makalu jacket, I’d wear it on all my hiking adventures around the UK, especially the fells of the lakes and munros of the Highlands!
I’ll definitely have to take a look at this jacket — excited to maybe take this to the alps!
My wife would love this for hiking in the Pentland Hills
Hiking in the Dolomites
This coat would be used for daily wet dog walks along with using it on the many adventures I have planned this year including the Yorkshire 3 peaks and amwa copper, bronze and silver backpacking!
I’d be off straight to the lake district in one of those… Keswick and Derwentwater. Beautiful jacket
The Peaks, Wales, Lakes… everywhere.
Lovely to wear to the crag to actually stay dry lmao
Mountain Equipment kit fits great, is durable and looks the part. Perfect for a damp day light scrambling in the Lake District
Sounds perfect for me rambling in Scotland on those days of long drizzle.
Big trek to Cyrn Las to climb the skull
Living on the west of Scotland this jacket would be a saviour. It’d come on any trip from wild coastal walks to hiking through the glens and forests. My last raincoats racked up some serious mileage but has definitely seen better days!
Looks like a great jacket! I’d take it up to snowdon with me!
This wouls suit me to a ‘T’ as i will be hitting the highlands of scotland this year and would like to keep as warm and dry as possible please 🙏 pick me, pick me. 😊
I’d go out and explore the Northumberland national park in the inevitable rain early next year😅
Go for a pint… after a ride!
Perfect for long days in the hills as part of my Lakeland 50 training!
I’d wear it while ticking off the final 77 Wainwrights ⛰️ 😊
I picked mine up for £160. Great jacket.
The Picos de Europa…..
I’d take it with me up the Scottish mountains ⛰️
Been wanting one of these jackets for a long time. I would be out on hills and mountains every spare day i have wearing this 🙂
Push the jacket to it’s limit and use it for hill days and winter climbing days up in Scotland:))
Everywhere! SW coast path first
I’d use it to continue helping kids from disadvantaged backgrounds to develop themselves in the outdoors.
